Saturday, May 8, 2021: Got off to a slow start today, needed to finish some work on the canoe – new forward thwart and some attachment points in the rear. Planned to go to Clinton Lake, but due to the late start headed to the closer Lake Evergreen at Comlara Park in Hudson, IL.
Comlara is a great park, it’s my “go to” for hiking, camping and now paddling. I can get there within 20 minutes from home, I know the trails like the back of my hand, and it’s seldom very busy.
